Who makes up the Board of Directors?

Massachusetts Community Action Agencies (CAAs) are governed by tripartite boards of directors, comprised of one-third low-income community members, one-third public officials, and one-third private sector representatives. These boards establish the agency's goals and policies, ensuring representation from various community sectors. The tripartite structure is mandated by federal statute.

PACE is governed by an active all-volunteer Board of Directors. PACE's Board includes:

  • 1/3rd Low-Income Sector Representatives
  • 1/3rd Public Sector Representatives
  • 1/3rd Private Sector Representatives

Our board represents low-income residents, as well as town officials and community stakeholders who live in New Bedford.
