Volunteering with PACE
PACE Volunteer Program Mission
The PACE volunteer program will build and expand the rewarding and meaningful volunteer opportunities which support the work of our employees enhancing the services PACE provides to our Greater New Bedford community.
Our programs tackle some of the barriers that often come with earning a low income including early childhood education, food stability, housing, and health insurance.
PACE programs include Child Care Works, YouthBuild - New Bedford, Child Care Voucher Program, Head Start, Housing Opportunity Center, Fuel Assistance, Lead Program, Free Clemente College Course, Free Tax Preparation, Health Insurance Assistance (Health Access), and our Food Bank.
If you are interested in volunteering at PACE, please fill out one of the application forms found at the bottom of this page. For further information, please call 508-999-9920 x350.
PACE is a Service Enterprise Certified volunteer program.
PACE completed an extensive assessment, over 20 hours of training and coaching, and an extensive internal planning and change process to better integrate volunteers into our human capital strategy. By achieving this level of excellence and certification, PACE is now better equipped to leverage the time and talent of volunteers and better meet our mission.
A Service Enterprise is an organization that integrates volunteers and their skills into its human capital strategy to achieve its social mission. Service Enterprise certification is a prestigious accomplishment for an organization. In fact, organizations that certify join the top 11 percent of nonprofits nationwide in volunteer management and organizational performance.
