The Workforce Development Center (WDC) provides low-income Greater New Bedford residents with quality, professional education and training opportunities. Skill-building and customized training are available to prepare individuals to reach their workforce goals. The WDC programming is designed to assist underemployed and unemployed residents with professional skills that increase access to employment, economic self-sufficiency, and successful career pathways.

YouthBuild New Bedford (YBNB)

YBNB serves out-of-school youth, 16-24, who must gain high school equivalency credentials and workforce development skills. By strengthening their confidence, self-esteem, and workforce expertise, YBNB members receive small group training in employment success, HiSET (GED) preparation, vocational skill-building, life skills, financial literacy, case management, transitional assistance, and support. YBNB members can earn a stipend while in the program.
